My name is Beverley Scott and I am a fully qualified and insured therapeutic counsellor, trained in the Integrative therapeutic approach and a registered and fully accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I trained with the Counselling and Psychotherapy Training Academy receiving my award from the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) in 2016.
I trained for 3 years with a systematic psychotherapist in family and systemic work across schools in West Sussex, working with families experiencing significant difficulties, on a one-to-one basis with individual family members.
I have eight years experience working with clients with a range of issues, from trauma and abuse, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties and major life changes.
The integrative approach to counselling means that I can tailor my approach to suit individual clients. While some clients find it beneficial to explore the source of unhelpful patterns of behaviour, others may prefer more practical tools for changing unwanted thoughts and patterns of behaviour. I will always spend a considered time in our first meeting to review needs and assess, along with you, a planned joint approach to the therapeutic work that suits individual working styles.
I like to work flexibly to suit you, either from my garden studio in Hove, or via Zoom, Teams or Google. I am equally happy to walk with clients in the Sussex Downs or in woodland if that is preferable.
I offer a 30 minute introductory session free of charge. My fees are £50.00 an hour. I am happy to discuss reductions for students or those in receipt of benefits. I offer reduced rates for counselling trainees (please call for further information).
Please call to discuss your needs in confidence on 07540 500693. I look forward to hearing from you.
